Pickup soccer/football wouldn't exist without hosts. They scout the venue, lock the slot, fill the roster, and show up early to set up. The least we can all do is show up — or cancel early if life gets in the way.
🎒 You cancel a game you paid for online (before the host's deadline)
Your money lands in your JoGo Wallet — use it on any future game. JoGo Credit never expires.
Some paid games have a no-refund deadline, set by the host a few hours before kickoff. The game page shows it next to the Reserve button. If the game page shows no deadline, you can cancel for credit right up to kickoff.
⏰ You cancel after the host's deadline (no credit)
You can still tap Cancel so your spot goes to someone else, but nothing is credited, for you or for any guests you added. The game page warns you before you confirm.
🎒 You cancel a FREE game (respect the other players)
Open the game page and tap Cancel as soon as you know. Your spot is held for someone on the waitlist — the sooner you cancel, the better their chance to play. No-shows hurt the game and your reputation as a player.
💵 You paid the host directly (cash or bank transfer)
That money went to the host, not through JoGo.Team, so nothing is credited to your JoGo Wallet. Tap Cancel on the game page so the host knows, then talk to the host about your money.
⛈️ Host cancels (rain, low turnout, venue issue)
If you paid on JoGo.Team, the host can credit what you paid to your JoGo Wallet, and the deadline does not apply. If you don't see it, ask the host. If you paid the host directly, talk to the host about your money.
👋 The host removes you (takes you off the list of players)
If you paid on JoGo.Team, the game's price goes straight to your JoGo Wallet, even after the deadline. If you paid the host directly, talk to the host about your money.
❌ No-show (didn't cancel, didn't show up)
No credit, no refund. The host counted on you. Worse: you blocked a player on the waitlist who would have shown up. Life happens though — if something genuinely got in the way, send your host a quick message. They know their players and their game best, so any exception is their call to make.

Withdraw to original payment method
If you'd rather have the money back than wallet credit, you can withdraw credit that came from cancelling a game you paid for online, back to the card (or Apple Pay, etc.) you paid with. Top-ups and bonus credit can't be withdrawn; use them on your next game.
Stripe charges a processing fee on every transaction and doesn't refund it on withdrawals. We pass it through — no JoGo markup. You'll see the exact breakdown before you confirm.
