Data Deletion Request
Your Right to Data Deletion
In accordance with data privacy laws including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and LGPD, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from our platform. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your information.
Delete Your Account Yourself (Easiest)
If you have a JoGo.Team™ account, the fastest way to delete it is from within the app:
- Open your Profile
- Scroll down to Settings
- Tap Delete my account (the red option at the bottom)
- Open the email we send you and tap Confirm deletion
Your account is deactivated right away and permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period. If you change your mind, just log back in within those 30 days and your account is fully restored. If you host games, please cancel or transfer your upcoming games before deleting your account.
For Facebook/Instagram Users
If you logged into JoGo.Team using Facebook or Instagram, you can request data deletion directly from your Facebook account:
- Go to your Facebook account settings
- Navigate to "Apps and Websites"
- Find "JoGo.Team" in the list
- Select "Remove"
- Confirm that you want to remove your information
This will automatically remove your connection to JoGo.Team and notify us to delete your data.
Direct Deletion Request
You can also request account deletion directly by sending us a direct message on Instagram.
Please include the following information in your message:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your JoGo.Team account
- Login method (Email, Google, Facebook, or Instagram)
- Confirmation that you want to delete all your data
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When your deletion completes, we permanently delete the personal information that identifies you, including:
- Profile information (name, email, profile picture, date of birth)
- Phone number and city
- Game preferences (skill level, preferred positions, player traits)
- Social media connections
- Any other personal data that identifies you
What We Keep, and Why
As permitted by data-protection law (including GDPR Article 17(3) and the corresponding exceptions under the CCPA/CPRA), we keep a limited set of records after removing the information that identifies you, so they no longer point back to you. We keep these only as long as necessary, then delete or further de-identify them:
- Transaction, booking, and wallet records — to meet our tax, accounting, and financial-recordkeeping obligations (generally up to 7 years), to prevent fraud, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (for example, a payment dispute or chargeback)
- Aggregated and anonymized data used for analytics, which does not identify you
- A minimal record that we processed your deletion request, kept as evidence of compliance
Payment Information
JoGo.Team does not store your full card or bank details. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, Inc., which retains payment and transaction data under its own privacy policy and legal obligations. Deleting your JoGo.Team account does not delete the records Stripe is required to keep.
Service Providers and Backups
We instruct our service providers (for example, for email delivery, hosting, and analytics) to delete or de-identify your personal information in line with this policy. Your personal information may also remain in our encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups are routinely overwritten, after which it is no longer recoverable.
Deletion Timeline
We complete deletion within 30 days of your confirmation, except for the limited records described above that we are permitted or required to retain. We will not use any retained, de-identified records to re-create your profile or to contact you for marketing.
Important: Deletion Is Permanent
Warning
Once your data is deleted, this action cannot be undone. We will not be able to recover your account or any of your information. If you wish to use JoGo.Team again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
